Integrate with CRM, e-commerce and other business systems for seamless collaboration.

Crowdy.ai are not just chatbots, but intelligent virtual assistants capable of adapting to our clients’ specific businesses, helping companies strengthen customer relationships and reach new heights.

Our company provides services in 24 European countries and plans to significantly expand its geographical presence in the very near future.

Crowdy.ai is one of Estonia’s IT startups

Our company is proud to be called Estonian Startup. In Estonia, a country with a population of less than 1.4 million people, there are currently ten “unicorns”, i.e. startup companies whose value exceeds one billion dollars:

  • Skype: a platform for voice and video calls and messaging.
  • Playtech: online gambling software developer.
  • Wise: a financial technology company specialising in international money transfers.
  • Bolt: a platform for booking rides, scooter hire and food delivery.
  • Pipedrive: developer of CRM systems for sales management.
  • Zego: an insurance company focused on commercial drivers and delivery service providers.
  • me: a platform for identity verification and digital credential management.
  • Gelato: a global print-on-demand platform.
  • Veriff: a company that provides online identity authentication services.
  • Glia: a platform for digital customer engagement.

Estonia ranks among the world’s leading countries in terms of unicorns per capita, second only to Israel. The startup sector in Estonia continues to develop rapidly, which helps to strengthen its position as one of Europe’s leading technology centres. Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Mihal noted in his speech at the awarding of the best Estonian Startups 2024 that startups contribute almost 4% of Estonia’s GDP, although recently the figure was 1.5%. The turnover of the Estonian startup sector grew by 15% in 2024, reaching 3.9 billion euros, and the amount of taxes paid to the Estonian state totalled 750 million euros. The turnover of startups under five years old also increased by 20% to EUR 444 million. According to Startup Estonia, there are about 1,600 startups operating in Estonia today, and we are proud to be part of this innovative and rapidly growing community.

 IT technology in Estonia

Estonia is rightly considered one of the most advanced countries in the world in the field of information technology. Despite its small territory and population, this country has managed to create a powerful digital ecosystem, becoming a world leader in e-governance, technological entrepreneurship and digital innovation.

The development of the IT sector in Estonia began in the 1990s, when the government set a course for building a digital society. The introduction of advanced technologies in public administration, the creation of innovative IT companies and the active development of the Internet infrastructure allowed the country to take a leading position in digital technologies. Today, Estonia is known for its IT startups, highly computerised population and the availability of digital services for businesses and citizens.

Government Digital Transformation

One of the main reasons for Estonia’s success in IT is the introduction of digital technologies at the state level. The country was the first in the world to introduce e-government, allowing citizens and companies to receive almost all government services online. A key role in this is played by X-Road, a secure platform for data exchange between various public and private institutions.

Today, more than 99 per cent of public services in Estonia are available online, including filing tax returns, registering a business, receiving health services and even participating in elections through e-Voting. This digitalisation has significantly reduced bureaucracy and increased the efficiency of government agencies.

Electronic Residency (e-Residency) and the Digital Economy

One of the most innovative solutions introduced in Estonia is the e-Residency programme. This unique initiative allows entrepreneurs from anywhere in the world to register a company in Estonia and conduct business in the EU jurisdiction without the need for physical presence. Since the launch of the programme in 2014, more than 100,000 people from 170 countries have received e-Residency, starting thousands of new companies.

The digital economy in Estonia is actively supported by the state. The country has a tax system without tax on retained earnings, which allows IT companies to reinvest revenues in business development. This favours the growth of startups and the attraction of foreign investments.

High computerisation of the population and availability of the Internet

Estonia is one of the most computerised countries in the world. More than 99 per cent of the population has access to the Internet, and many cities have free Wi-Fi. Already in the 1990s, the government invested in digital education by providing schools with computers and connecting them to the Internet. This has created a generation of highly skilled IT specialists.

Today, thousands of programmers, engineers and cybersecurity specialists work in the country. Universities actively cooperate with businesses, offering practice-oriented training programmes in IT and software development, so that we at Crowdy.ai can compete with the world’s leading IT companies.

Adoption of advanced technologies and cyber security

Estonia is actively using advanced technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence in various fields. In the public sector, blockchain is used to protect personal data, and artificial intelligence is used to automate government services.

Following the 2007 cyber attacks, Estonia has become one of the world’s leaders in cyber security. The country has established the NATO Centre of Excellence for Cyber Defence (CCDCOE) and developed advanced mechanisms to protect digital infrastructure.

Future of the IT sector in Estonia

Estonia continues to invest in the development of the IT sector, focusing on artificial intelligence, quantum technologies and process automation. The state supports digital innovation by creating favourable conditions for business and technology companies.

The combination of innovation, high digital literacy of the population, and efficient state governance gives Estonia the opportunity to show incredible and innovative results in IT. The country remains an attractive platform for investors, entrepreneurs and professionals who are keen to work in advanced technologies and develop the digital economy of the future.
